Bruce Springsteen. The Who. Madonna. Beyonce is next up for Super Bowl halftime entertainment. That’s kind of awesome and kind of doesn’t matter.
Beyonce will headline the halftime show at the upcomingSuper Bowl, the NFL announced today. Her Feb. 3 performance at New Orleans’ Mercedes-Benz Superdome will be the “Single Ladies” singer’s second Super Bowl appearance. In 2004, she performed the national anthem in her Houston hometown prior to the New England Patriots-Carolina Panthers contest.
Let’s get one thing straight. I dig me some Beyonce and look forward to her 12 minutes on Super Bowl Sunday but it really doesn’t matter.
I’ll be in a rest room somewhere relieving myself of having too much beer and will probably miss some of the performace. I’ll also be looking to see what new bets are available for the second half of the game. I’ll check twitter and read only about the negative parts of her performance and a couple weeks later nobody will remember. I forgot Madonna was last year’s entertainment.
I’m not really sure there’s a better artist, but I’m also pretty sure I don’t care. I’ll watch Beyonce’s performance on youtube the next day to see what I missed and ultimately end up watching “Lose My Breath” by Destiny’s Child because that song is awesome.
