Golden Nugget has made a huge transformation to the property that was Trump Marina in Atlantic City. The hotel has gone from a dirty prison-like building to the only hotel in Atlantic City worthy of a AAA Four Diamond award for 2013.
The Automobile Association of America has named the Golden Nugget Atlantic City Hotel & Casino one of its coveted 2013 Four Diamond award winners, for a prestige lodging establishment in the state of New Jersey.
The AAA designation, which rates properties on customer service and quality of accommodations among other factors, exemplifies the Golden Nugget Atlantic City’s standard of excellence in the hospitality industry.
“This distinction is among the most well-known and respected trademarks in the global travel industry and the GoldenNugget Atlantic City is extremely honored to receive the AAA Four Diamond Award for its superiority in the hospitality industry,” said Tom Pohlman, executive vice president and general manager for the property. “This recognition shows that inherent with the name Golden Nugget comes an expectation for excellence and a dedication to customer service.”
This is a big deal for an Atlantic City hotel as only 3 other properties in Atlantic City have reached such a lofty achievement. In 2011 Caesars and Borgata Water Club were named four star hotels and in 2004 Borgata was named four stars. You can find a complete list of previous winners on the AAA website.
