Medium to high rollers remember that earlier this year Caesars Atlantic City properties began charging $10 (in comps) to enter the Diamond Lounge. They promised that they would improve service with this additional charge. I’m not sure that adding video games to the menu serves as improved service, but it’s something.

I went to the Showboat with a friend earlier this week, and we went up to dinner in the Diamond Club. In addition to a pretty decent dinner, we found another surprise.

The back room that used to be used for extra seating now has video games. They had Ms. Pacman, a golf game and some multi-game machine often found in bars. Play was free for guests.

That’s cool, I guess. I’m not sure I would play much Ms. Pac Man, but if Showboat wants to give me another reason to stay in the Diamond Lounge and drink for free and not gamble why not.  As the original blog says that space could have probably been better used by adding a couple computers with internet connection like the Las Vegas Diamond Lounges.
