June 2010

Big news in Las Vegas this week is Kardashian Khaos opening in August at Mirage. Photo: Las Vegas Sun I’m amazed that people are still into the Kardashian thing enough to open a store for them.  This is another place I don’t need to visit.  Thankfully it’s a klothing store and I can easily avoid [...]

Vegas Strip Traffic Makes Cabs $30 per Hour

by Marc June 25, 2010

Damn, that’s slow drive across the Las Vegas strip in traffic gets billed at $30 per hour!?  I’ve never realized that before.  Thankfully insane cab fees are going to be reviewed next week. When cabs slow to less than 12 mph, wait time is assessed at $30 an hour, or 20 cents for every 24 [...]

NBA Draft Prop Bets

by Marc June 23, 2010

I was checking the 2010 NBA Draft Prop bets last night and found some interesting opportunities and figured I’d share them.  I love the NBA draft because it’s right after the end of the season and followed closely by free agency.  This is the time where the losing teams get ready to turn things around [...]

I’ve been struggling with a bout of writers block for much of the week so posts slowed down as the week went on.  Hopefully that will change as we move into another week.  Let’s take a look back at what I was able to cover. Harrah’s Cash Back Is Back…Kinda Cosmopolitan Las Vegas Opening December [...]

Harrahs Cash Back Is Back…Kinda

by Marc June 16, 2010

Cash back is back at Harrahs…kinda.  Cash back is a simple concept.  It’s a small return on the amount of money gambled.  It used to be paid back to the customer in the form of “cash”. Earlier this year Harrah’s stopped their cash back to gamblers in Atlantic City.  Well, after a couple of months [...]
