“Sammy Hagar brings a new energy everywhere he goes,” said Don Marrandino, Eastern Division President of Harrah’s Entertainment Inc., which owns Bally’s and three other Atlantic City casinos.
“His Cabo lifestyle will reinvigorate the beach bar at Bally’s Atlantic City and continue the efforts Harrah’s Entertainment has made to position Atlantic City as the premier beach entertainment destination along the East Coast,” said Marrandino, who is friends with Hagar.
I love the beach bar at Bally’s. It’s always crowded, so I’m not sure this additional branding was needed. This probably makes sense as part of greater marketing efforts at Bally’s, but individually I don’t see any effect on business aside of selling more Cabo Wabo tequila and less Patron.
The beach bar opens on Memorial Day weekend. I look forward to seeing if there are any changes.
