The nation’s first casino to open outside Nevada says it can’t guarantee it will survive…
Resorts Atlantic City was taken over by its lender in December, and says it can’t
guarantee it can continue to stay open. The Atlantic City Hilton Casino Resort defaulted on its mortgage and is trying to work out a deal with its lenders. The three Trump casinos are in bankruptcy.
This isn’t shocking and I’m surprised that Resorts has been able to hold on so long. The death of multiple casinos was one of the first things I wrote about on ECG.
There isn’t a light at the end of the tunnel. I think they’re just putting off the inevitable. This would be the first domino to fall. I’m curious to see how far the Hilton would be behind this.
