Thoughts On Manny and Clottey

I finally got to watch a replay of the Manny Pacquiao – Josh Clottey fight.  The fight and result was as I expected.  The fight went the distance and wasn’t very exciting.  If Clottey had decided to be slightly more assertive I think he might have had a chance to catch Manny.  Unfortunately he wasn’t.  I’m glad I saved the $60.  This take on the fight from ESPN is similar to mine.

In fact, I think the most exciting part of the fight was Jim Lampley losing his mind and repeating “BANG, BANG, BANG” as Manny was punching.

This makes me look forward to Floyd Mayweather and Shane Mosely.  A fight I’m not excited about either.  The best thing to come from this fight was that I learned Manny’s fights are on DVD.  Here’s Manny destroying Oscar De La Hoya.
