“The idea to expand what we offer at The Pool really started from its success, which has been tremendous,” Snowden said. “We grew over 50 percent in revenue at The Pool in 2009. Right now, when you talk 1 percent, it’s a good story, so 50 percent really shows how healthy a business The Pool is for us. It has become one of the top nightclubs on the East Coast.”
It’s nice to see that The Pool has been profitable for Harrah’s. If nightlife at Harrah’s continues to profit you can bet there will continue to be nightlife upgrades in Atlantic City. I think that’s a good thing. My favorite casino’s all have great nightlife and even though I’m not a club guy I like the vibe that it brings.
As it relates to The Loft I’m happy to see that it also includes an outdoors bar.
The Loft features a new double-sided bar that will serve patrons inside year-round and outside when weather permits. The bar area will be a communal area, but the rest of The Loft will be for those looking for a high-end experience.
On a trip earlier this year I mentioned that one thing missing at Harrah’s was a place to drink outside. I’m happy that an outdoor drinking area was included in this expansion. Expect a review this summer!
