August was a whirlwind month and I’m finally getting caught up with life as you may have noticed by the posts of my recent Atlantic City Trip. I still have a few to go, but the big boys are up. The roundup consists of some interesting stories over the past couple of weeks that I haven’t had a chance to share.
- Gaming Atlantic details which sporting events are now legal in Delaware. I love playing parlays, so this isn’t awful. I usually detail my parlays on twitter and will try to add them here.
- Sportsbook.com is always available, so I’m cool whatever happens in Delaware.
- Club Grazie at Venetian & Palazzo changes it’s name to Grazie and expands to offer rewards for all spending. Not just gambling. Take a look at the comments and thoughts on Two Way Hard Three. I wish this was in effect when I paid for 4 people to have dinner at Carne Vino in May.
- Gambling Teachers has tips on playing Let It Ride. I stopped playing this game (for the most part) a few years ago when a dealer told me it was one of the worst games in the casino and that I was a fool for playing. After researching I found that it’s up there with some of the worst odds.
- MGM Mirage has taken their Detroit casino off the market. I have to assume there was little interest in the property because if there was a market to exit for a casino company it is Detroit.
- 4 staff members arrested in Planet Hollywood poker scam. That sucks.
- Vegas Tripping has a good look at Las Vegas hotel customer service and twitter. I thought this was a really good post and I’m curious to see how this plays out. I engage a few of the reps on twitter and find some that are nice and some that are just pushing information. Everyone has their own style.
- The last Five Hundy By Midnight podcast was one of the funniest I’ve heard to date.
Finally…football is here! This is a favorite time of the year as the NFL and college football seasons are beginning while baseball is heading to the playoffs. The NBA is right around the corner then college basketball and cool weather. The NHL starts soon too, but unless the Rangers are awesome, I don’t pay much attention.

Actually, Let it Ride has the same odds as three-card poker, and in fact may be (is?) better than Harrah’s three-card poker game.
On top of that, the Borgata’s three-card bonus bet on Let it Ride has a very favorable pay table; a 1.9% house edge. That’s better than any Pair Plus bet in 3CP!
