Upon check in I was told that there were no non-smoking rooms available. Thankfully after a little banging on the keyboard the very nice guy working the desk was able to find a non-smoking room. As I was thanking him, he told me that the room was a handicap accessible junior suite. It was located right at the elevators in the main Borgata tower and it was awesome!
Upon entry I could see that this was bigger than the normal Borgata rooms. There was a long entry hall with a bathroom to the left and a couch and coffee table well ahead of me.
Here’s a close up of the couch that I relaxed on sipping coffee while I watched ESPN.
To the left when entering the room was a massive bathroom. There was a vanity and sitting area before even reaching the sink, shower and toilet. Because this was a handicap accessible room there was ample room by the toilet for a wheel chair. There was room for about 10 wheel chairs, but I’d rather not think about that.

The shower was also very big. Unlike other handicap accessible rooms I’ve stayed in the water did not leak into the rest of the bathroom. There was granite counter that had only one sink, I’m sure his and hers would be better, but since I was alone there really wasn’t a need for it.
The sleeping area was also spacious. There was nothing special beyond a comfortable bed with plenty of walking space. There is a pillow hiding under the blankets here.
If there was anything negative to say about the room it would be that a giant armoir was placed in front of the windows on the sleeping area of the room. The television was on the small side and was an old tube TV. I think this will be remedied when the rooms are remodeled which I’m told should be happening soon.
I didn’t sit at the desk at all, but used it to charge my phone. I decided to take a look out the window before I left and was happy to see a very nice view.
A nice view doesn’t matter much to me since I don’t sit at the window and look out, but it’s nice on a bright sunny day. It encouraged me to get a start with my day after a short night of gambling. I detail the gambling in my notes.
Overall, my room was fantastic and I had a great night at Borgata. I’m slowly moving my gambling play from the Harrah’s hotels to Borgata and a night of gambling here won’t hurt as I build equity.
